Cuvee welcomes Matthew Stricker as new Executive Chef

Tucson, AZ- Cuvee World Bistro is thrilled to announce the arrival of Matthew Stricker as its new executive chef.

A Tucson native and graduate of Santa Rita High School, Chef Stricker is self-taught and has been in the kitchen for more than 10 years. He began cooking for his family when he was young and has been hooked ever since. Chef Stricker started his professional culinary career as a chef at the historic Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas, and returned to Tucson to work as a chef under Cuvee’s previous owner, Mitch Levy, before a stint at The Dish as sous chef.

This summer, Chef Stricker has returned to Cuvee as executive chef. “I know the role of executive chef is hard but rewarding work, and I’m ready for the challenge,” he says. Chef Stricker says he is excited to be an executive chef in his hometown and has already developed a strong relationship with Cuvee owner Robert Bossardet.

Chef Stricker is wasting no time making his mark on the Tucson dining scene. He is heading up the Cuvee World Tour, July 7 through September 27, featuring cuisines from exotic places such as Venice, Italy; Bangkok, Thailand; and Loire Valley, France. The culinary adventure, which includes food, wine, music and art, will transport guests to some of the world’s most delicious locales.

The Cuvee World Tour will make its first stop in New Orleans July 7- 12. One taste of Chef Stricker’s Louisiana crab cakes or Brennan’s bananas foster will transport you to the Big Easy.
