Philosophy / Owner Bio
Cuvee owner, Robert Bossardet, has come full circle. Growing up in Tucson, he attended Cholla High School, and upon graduation from The University of Arizona with a degree in Business Administration he joined ARAMARK Services, one of America’s leading food, sports and entertainment companies.
Retiring from ARAMARK in August 2007, after a long and successful career, Robert returned to his roots just in time to meet Mitch and Krystal Levy, owners of Cuvée World Bistro, who had recently opened a second location of the popular restaurant in Basalt, Colorado. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for both parties. With the challenge of trying to manage both locations long-distance beginning to wear on them and their families, the Levys were thrilled at the opportunity to sell the Cuvée Tucson location to Robert – and he was equally thrilled to come “home” and become the owner of one of Tucson’s culinary treasures.
Cuvee has earned a strong reputation in Tucson for its flavorful, innovative food; casual yet elegant atmosphere; and impeccably paired wines – all combined to provide diners with “the perfect blend.” The whimsical menu is inspired by cuisines around the world, often showing hints of European and Asian influences, and service is always friendly and gracious. Simply put, Cuvée is casual dining at its finest.
Robert promises to stay true to the original concept of Cuvée, including its extremely popular menu, but he also has many exciting ideas for enhancing the décor and ambience over the next year to bring food, wine, music, and art together, creating a complete sensory experience for his guests.
Community support and building neighborhood relationships are at the top of the list for this talented man. He is committed to giving back to the community whenever possible in support of University athletics and educational grants, as well as numerous charitable/community outreach and events.
“Cuvee has a wonderful reputation in Tucson. My team and I hope to continue the traditions of Cuvee and expand upon its legacy,” says Robert.
